Hadith of Maymunah (RA), wife of the Prophet (SAW)
Hadith 216:10
Al-Abbas ibn al-Walid narrated to us, Yusuf ibn Khalid narrated to us, from Umar ibn Ishaq, that he heard Ata ibn Yasar narrating from Maymunah, the wife of the Prophet, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, that the Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, said: Allah, the Almighty and Majestic, said: "Whoever harms a guardian (wali) of Mine, he has declared war against Me. My servant does not draw near to Me with anything more beloved to Me than the performance of what I have obligated upon him. And he continues to draw near to Me through supererogatory acts until I love him. So when I love him, I become his hearing with which he hears, his sight with which he sees, his hand with which he strikes, and his tongue with which he speaks, and his heart with which he understands. If he asks Me, I will give him, and if he calls upon Me, I will answer him. And I have not hesitated about anything I am doing as I hesitate about his death; for he dislikes it, and I dislike causing him distress."
