Musnad Abu Ya'la al-Mawsili 245:31

Muhammad ibn Bashar narrated to us, Abu Dawud narrated to us, Shu'bah narrated to us, from 'Amr ibn Murrah, from Sa'id ibn al-Musayyib, who said: Mu'awiyah arrived, and a staff was brought to him with a rag on its head. He said: "I did not think anyone would do this except the Jews. The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) was informed of that, so he named it 'the falsehood' (al-zur)." Ishaq ibn Abi Isra'il narrated to us, 'Abdah ibn Sulayman narrated to us, Talhah ibn Yahya narrated to us, from his paternal uncle 'Isa ibn Talhah, who said: I was sitting with Mu'awiyah when the caller to prayer (mu'adhdhin) came to inform him of the prayer. Mu'awiyah said: "I heard the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) say: 'The people with the longest necks on the Day of Resurrection will be the callers to prayer.'"
