Musnad Abu Ya'la al-Mawsili 245:4

Muhammad ibn Bakkar narrated to us, Fulayh narrated to us, from Sa'id ibn Abi Sa'id al-Maqburi, from his father, who said: I heard Mu'awiyah saying while he was on the pulpit, and in his hand was a tuft of hair: "What is the matter with your women that they place in their heads the likes of this? I heard the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) saying: 'There is no woman who places in her head hair from the hair of another, except that it is a falsehood.'"
