Musnad Abu Ya'la al-Mawsili 198:1

Kamil ibn Talhah al-Jahdari narrated to us, Ibn Lahi'ah narrated to us, from 'Amarah ibn Ghaziyah, that 'Asim ibn 'Umar ibn Qatadah narrated to him, from Mahmud ibn Labid, from 'Uqbah ibn Rafi', that the Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, used to say: "Indeed, when Allah loves a servant, He protects him from the world, just as one of you protects his sick person from water, so that he may be healed."
