Musnad Abu Ya'la al-Mawsili 242:5

7220. Salih ibn Hatim ibn Wardan narrated to us, he said: My father narrated to me, he said: Ayyub narrated to us, from Abdullah ibn Abi Mulaykah, from al-Miswar ibn Makhramah, who said: Some cloaks (aqbiyah) arrived for the Prophet, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, and he distributed them among his companions. My father, Makhramah, said to me: "Go with us to him, perhaps he will give us something from them." He said: So my father came to the door and said: "Is he here?" The Prophet, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, heard his voice, so he came out to him with a cloak. He said: It is as if I am looking at him showing my father the merits of the cloak, while he was saying: "I have hidden this for you." Abu Muhammad Salih said: So I said to my father: "For what reason did the Prophet, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, do this with Makhramah?" He said: "He was guarding against his tongue."
