Musnad Abu Ya'la al-Mawsili 129:10

Abu Khaythama narrated to us, Yahya and Yazid narrated to us, from Humayd, from Anas, that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) passed by a garden belonging to the Banu al-Najjar. He heard a sound and said, "Who is this?" They said, "A human who died in the Jahiliyyah (pre-Islamic period)." He said, "Were it not that you would not bury one another, I would have asked my Lord to let you hear the punishment of the grave."
