Musnad Abu Ya'la al-Mawsili 129:104

On the authority of Anas, that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "Indeed, when Allah intends good for a servant, He employs him." They said: "O Messenger of Allah, and how does He employ him?" He said: "He grants him success to perform a righteous deed before his death."
