Musnad Abu Ya'la al-Mawsili 129:120

Zuhayr narrated to us, Yazid bin Harun narrated to us, Humayd al-Tawil informed us, from Anas bin Malik: That the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) visited a man who had become like a plucked chick. He said, "Did you used to supplicate for something or ask for it?" He said, "I said: O Allah, whatever You are going to punish me with in the Hereafter, then hasten it for me in the world." The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said, "Subhan Allah! You cannot bear that, nor can you endure it. Why did you not say: 'Our Lord, give us in this world [that which is] good and in the Hereafter [that which is] good and protect us from the punishment of the Fire'?"
