Musnad Abu Ya'la al-Mawsili 129:41

Ishaq narrated to us, Yazid bin Zuray' narrated to us, Humayd narrated to us, he said: Anas was asked about the earnings of a cupper, and he did not say regarding it [that it is] lawful nor unlawful. He said: The Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, was cupped; Abu Taybah cupped him, so he ordered for him two sa's of food, and the Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, spoke to his family—meaning his masters—so they lightened for him from his tax or from his tribute. And he said: "The best of what you treat yourselves with is cupping and sea incense (Qust al-Bahri), and do not torture your children by pressing [their throats for tonsillitis]."
