Humayd al-Tawil from Anas bin Malik (RA)
Hadith 129:91
'Abd al-A'la narrated to us, Mu'tamir narrated to us, he said: I heard Humayd narrating from Anas, from the Prophet (may Allah bless him and grant him peace), that he stood at night over the well in which Abu Jahl and his companions were [thrown] at Badr, three days after they were killed. He called out: "O Abu Jahl ibn Hisham! O 'Utbah ibn Rabi'ah! O Shaybah ibn Rabi'ah! O Umayyah ibn Khalaf! Have you found what your Lord promised you to be true? For I have found what my Lord promised me to be true." He said: So those whom Allah willed from among his companions came out to him and said: "O Messenger of Allah, are you calling out to people who have become carcasses for three days?" He said: "You are not more hearing of what I say than they are, except that they are unable to answer me."
