Musnad Abu Ya'la al-Mawsili 110:111

Abdullah ibn Umar narrated to us, Ibn al-Mubarak narrated to us, Sharik narrated to us, from Khusayf, from Ikrimah, from Ibn Abbas, who said: A red velvet blanket was missing on the day of Badr from what was taken as spoils from the polytheists. Some people said, "Perhaps the Prophet, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, took it." Then Allah revealed: "It is not for a prophet to embezzle (yaghulla)..." (Surah Ali 'Imran). Khusayf said: I said to Sa'id, "It is not for a prophet to embezzle?" He replied, "Rather, he embezzles and he also kills."
