The Musnad of Ibn Abbas (RA)

Hadith 110:128

Wahb ibn Baqiyyah narrated to us, Khalid narrated to us, from Husayn ibn Qays, from Ikrimah, from Ibn Abbas: That a woman from Khath'am came to the Prophet, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, and said: "O Prophet of Allah, I am a widow and I wish to marry. So what is the right of the husband over his wife? If I can fulfill that, I will; otherwise, I will remain a widow." The Prophet, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, said: "Indeed, the right of the husband over his wife is that if he desires her for herself while she is on the back of her camel, she should not refuse him. And from the right of the husband over the wife is that she should not give anything from his house except by his permission; if she does so, the sin is upon her and the reward is for someone else. And from the right of the husband over the wife is that she should not leave his house except by his permission; if she does that, the angels will curse her until she returns or repents."
