Hadith 110:131

Wahb narrated to us, Khalid narrated to us, from Husayn, from Ikrimah, from Ibn Abbas, that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "Indeed, Allah has given every person who has a right his right. And indeed, Allah has ordained obligations, established practices, set boundaries, permitted the lawful, prohibited the unlawful, and legislated Islam, making it easy, tolerant, and vast, and He did not make it narrow. O people, there is no faith for the one who has no trustworthiness, and there is no religion for the one who has no covenant. Whoever breaks the covenant of Allah, Allah will pursue him; whoever breaks my covenant, I will contend with him; and whoever I contend with, I will prevail over him. Whoever breaks my covenant will not attain my intercession and will not come to me at the Basin (al-Hawd). Beware, indeed Allah has not permitted killing except in three cases: an apostate after belief, an adulterer after having been married (ihsan), or a killer of a soul, so he is killed for it. O Allah, have I conveyed [the message]?"
