Uqbah ibn Mukram narrated to us, Yunus ibn Bukayr narrated to us, Muhammad ibn Ishaq narrated to us, from Dawud ibn al-Husayn, from Ikrimah, from Ibn Abbas, who said: Rukanah, the brother of the Banu Abd al-Muttalib, divorced the daughter of Abd Yazid three times in one sitting. He grieved for her with intense grief. The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said to him: "How did you divorce her, O Rukanah?" He said: "Three times in one sitting." The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "Then it is one."
