Musnad Abu Ya'la al-Mawsili 110:188

Daud ibn ‘Amr ibn Zuhayr al-Dabbi narrated to us, Ibn Abi al-Zinad ‘Abd al-Rahman ibn ‘Abd Allah narrated to us, from his father, from al-Qasim ibn Muhammad, from Ibn ‘Abbas, who said: The Messenger of Allah (may Allah bless him and grant him peace) performed the *li’an* (oath of condemnation) between al-‘Ajlani and his wife. Her husband said on that day, "O Messenger of Allah, by Allah, I have not approached her since we were married." The Messenger of Allah (may Allah bless him and grant him peace) began to say on that day, "O Allah, clarify." The husband of the woman was a man with reddish hair, with thin arms and shins. The one she was accused with was Ibn Sawda’. She then came with a black boy, with curly, knotted hair, thick arms, and plump shins. A man said to him, "O Abu ‘Abbas, how did you say [it]?" He said, "I said: She brought him forth according to the evil description." Ibn Shaddad ibn al-Had said to him, "Is she the one about whom the Messenger of Allah (may Allah bless him and grant him peace) said: 'If I were to stone someone without evidence'?" He said, "No, that was a woman who had committed open indecency in Islam."
