The Musnad of Ibn Abbas (RA)

Hadith 110:252

Zuhayr narrated to us, Ishaq bin Yusuf narrated to us, from Sufyan, from al-Mughirah bin al-Nu’man, from Sa’id bin Jubayr, from Ibn Abbas, who said: The Messenger of Allah (may Allah bless him and grant him peace) stood among the people and exhorted them, then said: "O people, you will be gathered to Allah barefoot, naked, and uncircumcised." Then he recited: "As We began the first creation, We will repeat it. [That is] a promise binding upon Us. Indeed, We will do it." (Al-Anbiya: 104). He said: "Then men will be brought and taken toward the left. I will say as the righteous servant said: 'And I was a witness over them as long as I was among them; but when You took me up, You were the Observer over them, and You are, over all things, Witness. If You should punish them - indeed they are Your servants; but if You forgive them - indeed it is You who is the Exalted in Might, the Wise.'" (Al-Ma'idah: 117-118). He said: "Then it will be said to me: 'They did not cease to be apostates, turning back on their heels, ever since you parted from them.'" He said: "And the first to be clothed will be Ibrahim (peace be upon him)."
