Al-Hasan ibn Muhammad ibn al-Sabah narrated to us, Mu'adh ibn Hisham narrated to us, my father informed me, from Qatadah, from Abu Qilabah, from Khalid ibn al-Lalaj, from Abdullah ibn Abbas, who said: The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: "I saw my Lord in the most beautiful form. He said to me: 'O Muhammad.' I said: 'Here I am, at Your service.' He said: 'What are the Highest Assembly disputing about?' I said: 'My Lord, I do not know.' So He placed His hand between my shoulders, and I felt its coolness between my chest, and I knew what is between the East and the West. He said: 'O Muhammad, what are the Highest Assembly disputing about?' I said: 'About the expiations: walking on foot to the Friday prayers, performing ablution thoroughly despite difficulties, and waiting for the prayer after the prayer. Whoever maintains them will live in goodness and die in goodness, and he will be as free from his sins as the day his mother gave birth to him.'"
