Hadith 110:36
Sa'id ibn Yahya ibn Sa'id al-Umawi narrated to us, my father narrated to us, Muhammad ibn Qays al-Asadi narrated to us, from Muhammad ibn Ubayd Allah al-Thaqafi, from Sa'id ibn Jubayr, from Ibn Abbas, who said: The delegation of Banu Asad came to the Prophet, may Allah bless him and grant him peace. They spoke and expressed themselves clearly. They said: "O Messenger of Allah, all of Mudar fought you, but we did not fight you, and we are not fewer in number than them, nor are we less powerful than them, and we have maintained our kinship ties with you." When the Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, heard their speech, he said to Abu Bakr and Umar: "Do they speak like this?" He (Abu Bakr or Umar) said: "O Messenger of Allah, their understanding is indeed little, and the devil is surely speaking upon their tongues."
