Musnad Abu Ya'la al-Mawsili 108:100

Ubayd Allah ibn Mu'adh narrated to us, he said: My father mentioned from Yusuf ibn Muhammad ibn al-Munkadir, from his father, from Jabir ibn Abdullah, he said: The Messenger of Allah (may Allah bless him and grant him peace) said: "Indeed, Allah the Exalted is Shy and Generous. He is too shy toward His servant, when he raises his hands to Him, to return them empty, containing nothing."
