Musnad Abu Ya'la al-Mawsili 108:104

Ibn Numayr narrated to us, Sa‘id ibn al-Rabi‘ narrated to us, Qurrah ibn Khalid narrated to us, from Abu al-Zubayr, from Jabir, that the Messenger of Allah (may Allah bless him and grant him peace) called for a parchment at the time of his death to write in it a document so that they would not go astray after him, nor would they be led astray. There was clamor in the house, and ‘Umar ibn al-Khattab spoke, so the Messenger of Allah (may Allah bless him and grant him peace) abandoned it.
