Hadith 108:131

Abu Khaythama narrated to us, Jarir narrated to us, from al-A’mash, from Salim ibn Abi al-Ja’d, from Jabir ibn Abdullah, who said: We came from Makkah to al-Madinah with the Messenger of Allah (may Allah bless him and grant him peace). He said: My camel became exhausted, so I lagged behind on it, driving it. He said: The Messenger of Allah (may Allah bless him and grant him peace) was behind for a need, and he caught up with me. He said to me: "What is the matter with you, lagging behind?" I said: "Nothing, O Messenger of Allah, except that my camel has become lame on me, so I wanted to catch up with the people." He said: The Messenger of Allah (may Allah bless him and grant him peace) took its tail and struck it, then urged it on and said: "Mount." I saw myself after that, and I was holding it back from the people. He said: We stopped at a place before al-Madinah, and I wanted to hasten to my family. The Messenger of Allah (may Allah bless him and grant him peace) said to me: "Do not come to your family at night." I said: "O Messenger of Allah, I am newly married." He said: "Did you marry?" I said: "A previously married woman." He said: "Why not a virgin, so that you could play with her and she could play with you?" I said: "O Messenger of Allah, Abdullah died—or was martyred—and left behind young girls, so I disliked marrying someone like them." He said: He remained silent and did not say to me "You did well" nor "You did poorly." He said: Then he said to me: "Sell me this camel of yours." I said: "No, rather it is yours, O Messenger of Allah." He said: "No, rather sell it to me." I said: "No, rather it is yours, O Messenger of Allah." He said: "No, rather sell it to me." I said: "A man has a claim upon me for an ounce of gold, so it is yours for that." He said: "I have taken it, so reach al-Madinah upon it." He said: When I arrived in al-Madinah, the Messenger of Allah (may Allah bless him and grant him peace) said to Bilal: "Give him an ounce of gold and add to it." He said: So he gave me an ounce of gold and added a qirat to it. I said: The addition of the Messenger of Allah (may Allah bless him and grant him peace) shall never leave me. He said: It was in a pouch of mine, and the people of al-Sham took it on the day of al-Harrah.
