Musnad Abu Ya'la al-Mawsili 108:14

'Abd al-A'la narrated to us, Hammad narrated to us, Muhammad ibn Ishaq narrated to us, from Muhammad ibn Yahya ibn Habban, from Wasi' ibn Habban, from Jabir: That the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) granted a concession regarding *al-'araya* (the sale of fresh dates on the tree for dried dates) for one *wasq*, two *wasqs*, three, or four. He said: "In every *jad* (harvested portion), there are ten *wasqs*, and whatever remains is a bunch (of dates) placed in the mosque for the poor." Muhammad said: "And they today stipulate that condition upon the merchants."
