Hadith 108:159

Abu Bakr narrated to us, Hafs bin Ghiyath narrated to us, from Ja'far, from his father, from Jabir, who said: The Arabs used to be led in the *Ifadah* (the departure from Arafat) by a man called Abu Sayyarah, riding a donkey. When the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) performed Hajj, the Quraysh stood in their usual places and used to say, "We are the *Hums* (the pious ones)." He (the Prophet) went out until he stood at Arafat. That is the meaning of His saying: "Then depart from the place whence all the people depart" (Al-Baqarah: 199).
