Ahmad ibn Ibrahim al-Dawraqi narrated to us, Mubashir narrated to us, from al-Awza'i, from Yahya ibn Abi Kathir, he said: Ibn Muqassim narrated to me, he said: Jabir ibn Abdullah narrated to me, he said: We were with the Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, and a funeral procession passed by us. The Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, stood up for it. When we went to carry it, it was the funeral of a Jew. We said: "O Messenger of Allah, it is the funeral of a Jew." He said: "Indeed, death is a source of alarm, so when you see a funeral, stand up."
