Musnad Abu Ya'la al-Mawsili 108:207

Amr narrated to us, Sufyan narrated to us, from Amr, from Jabir, who said: The Messenger of Allah (may Allah bless him and grant him peace) said to me: "O Jabir, have you married?" I said: "Yes." He said: "A virgin or a previously married woman?" I said: "No, rather a previously married woman." He said: "Why not a young girl, so that you might play with her and she might play with you?" I said: "O Messenger of Allah, my father was killed on the day of Uhud and left behind nine daughters, who are my nine sisters. So I did not like to bring to them a young girl who is inexperienced like them, but rather a woman who will comb their hair and take care of them." He said: "You have done well."
