Musnad Abu Ya'la al-Mawsili 108:37

Abu al-Rabi' narrated to us, Ya'qub narrated to us, 'Isa ibn Jariyah narrated to us, from Jabir, who said: The Messenger of Allah (may Allah bless him and grant him peace) commanded the killing of dogs. Then Ibn Umm Maktum came and said, "O Messenger of Allah, my dwelling is far, and I have a dog." So he granted him a concession for a few days, then he commanded its killing.
