Musnad Abu Ya'la al-Mawsili 108:5

Ibrahim narrated to us, Hammad narrated to us, from Abu al-Zubayr, from Jabir, who said: The Messenger of Allah (may Allah bless him and grant him peace) commanded us to close the doors, to cover the vessels, to tie the mouths of the water skins, to extinguish the lamps, and to keep our livestock in until the darkness of the night (the first part of the night) passes. He forbade that any of us should eat with his left hand, or walk in one sandal, or [wear] the *al-samma'* garment, or sit in the *ihtiba'* position while wearing a single garment.
