Musnad Abu Ya'la al-Mawsili 108:78

Zuhayr narrated to us, Sufyan narrated to us, from Ibn Jurayj, from ‘Ata’, from Jabir ibn ‘Abdullah, who said: The Messenger of Allah (may Allah bless him and grant him peace) forbade *al-muhaqalah*, *al-muzabanah*, *al-mukhabarah*, and the selling of fruits until their ripeness becomes apparent. And [he forbade] that they should not be sold except for dinars and dirhams, except for *al-‘araya*.
