Musnad Abu Ya'la al-Mawsili 108:98

Ubayd Allah narrated to us, Bishr ibn al-Mufaddal narrated to us, Umar ibn Abd Allah, the freed slave of Ghafrah, narrated to us, saying: I heard Ayyub ibn Khalid ibn Safwan saying: Jabir said: The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) came out to us and said: "O people, indeed Allah has detachments of angels that descend and stop at the gatherings of remembrance on the earth, so graze in the gardens of Paradise." They said: "And where are the gardens of Paradise, O Messenger of Allah?" He said: "The gatherings of remembrance. So go forth and return in the remembrance of Allah, and remember Him within yourselves. Whoever would like to know his status with Allah, let him look at how the status of Allah is with him, for Allah places the servant in the position from Him that he has placed Allah in from himself."
