Musnad Abu Ya'la al-Mawsili 54:7

Narrated to us Muhriz ibn 'Awn, narrated to us Rishdin ibn Sa'd, from Zabban ibn Fa'id, from Sahl ibn Mu'adh, from his father, from the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him), who said: "Whoever recites a thousand verses in the way of Allah will be recorded on the Day of Resurrection with the prophets, the truthful, the martyrs, and the righteous, and excellent are those as companions, if Allah wills."
