Musnad Abu Ya'la al-Mawsili 115:112

Muhammad ibn Abdullah al-Arzi narrated to us, Abd al-Wahhab ibn Ata narrated to us, Sa’id informed us, from Qatadah, from Anas, who said: The two tribes of the Ansar, the Aws and the Khazraj, boasted. The Aws said: "From us is the one washed by the angels, Hanzalah ibn al-Rahib; and from us is the one for whom the Throne of the Most Merciful shook, Sa’d ibn Mu’adh; and from us is the one protected by the wasps, ‘Asim ibn Thabit ibn Abi al-Aqlah; and from us is the one whose testimony was made equivalent to the testimony of two men, Khuzaymah ibn Thabit." The Khazrajis said: "From us are four who collected the Quran during the time of the Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, and no one else collected it [as they did]: Zayd ibn Thabit, Abu Zayd, Ubayy ibn Ka’b, and Mu’adh ibn Jabal."
