Ubayd Allah narrated to us, Mu'adh narrated to us, my father narrated to me, from Qatadah, from Anas bin Malik, that a man from the people of the desert asked the Prophet of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him)—and they were more likely to ask him than his companions—saying: "O Messenger of Allah, when is the Hour?" He said: "What have you prepared for it?" He said: "I have not prepared much for it, except that I love Allah and His Messenger." He said: "Then you are with whom you love." Anas said: "I have not seen the people rejoice over anything after Islam more intensely than their rejoicing at his saying."
