Ubayd Allah narrated to us, Muhammad ibn Abd al-Wahid ibn Abi Hazm al-Qat'i narrated to us, Umar ibn Amir narrated to us, from Qatadah, from Anas: That a Jew passed by a young girl who was wearing jewelry. He snatched her jewelry and threw her into a well. She was reached and brought out while she still had a remnant of life. It was said to her, "Who killed you?" She said, "So-and-so, the Jew." He was brought to the Prophet, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, and he killed him.
