Musnad Abu Ya'la al-Mawsili 115:347

The people of Makkah asked the Messenger of Allah (may Allah bless him and grant him peace) for a sign, so the moon split in Makkah twice. He said: "The Hour has drawn near, and the moon has split. And if they see a sign, they turn away and say, 'Continuous magic.'" The moon: it means "departing."
