Hadith 115:53
Hadaba narrated to us, Hammam narrated to us, Qatada narrated to us, from Anas bin Malik: A man was brought to the Prophet (ﷺ) who had become intoxicated. He ordered about twenty men, and they struck him with palm branches and sandals. Then, a man was brought to Abu Bakr who had become intoxicated, and he flogged him forty times. When Umar took charge and people persisted in drinking wine, he consulted the people. Abd al-Rahman said, "I see that you should make it..." (The text is cut off here in Abu Ya'la, but I believe he said) "...eighty."
