Musnad Abu Ya'la al-Mawsili 34:2

Abu Khaythama narrated to us, Ishaq al-Azraq narrated to us, from Abd al-Aziz ibn Umar ibn Abd al-Aziz, from al-Rabi ibn Sabra, from his father, Sabra ibn Ma'bad, who said: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said on the day of the Farewell Pilgrimage: "Enjoy yourselves with these women." He said: And "enjoyment" (al-istimta') according to us is marriage. He said: So we proposed that to the women, but they refused unless a term was set between us and them. We mentioned that to the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him), and he said: "Do so." So I went out, along with a cousin of mine, and each of us had a cloak. He said: We passed by a woman, and my youth and the cloak of my cousin pleased her, so she said: "A cloak like his cloak." So I married her, and I slept with her that night. Then I went out in the morning, and there I was with the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) between the door and the corner, saying: "I had permitted you the temporary marriage (mut'ah), so whoever has any of them, let him part with her, for Allah has forbidden it until the Day of Resurrection."
