Zuhayr narrated to us, Abu 'Amir al-'Aqadi narrated to us, from Hisham al-Dastawa'i, from Yahya ibn Abi Kathir, from al-Hadrami, from Sa'id ibn al-Musayyib, who said: I asked Sa'd about *al-tiyarah* (omen-taking), and he rebuked me and said: I heard the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, say: "There is no *'adwa* (contagion) and no *tiyarah*. If *tiyarah* were to be in anything, it would be in the horse, the woman, and the house."
