Muhammad ibn 'Abbad narrated to us, Muhammad ibn Talhah narrated to us, from Abu Suhayl ibn Malik, from Sa'id ibn al-Musayyib, from Sa'd, who said: We were with the Prophet, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, at Baqi' al-Khayl, when al-'Abbas approached. The Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, said: "This is al-'Abbas ibn 'Abd al-Muttalib, the paternal uncle of your Prophet; the most generous of Quraysh in hand, and the most upholding of them to kinship ties."
