Musnad Abu Ya'la al-Mawsili 6:17

Zakariya ibn Yahya al-Wasiti narrated to us, Salih ibn Umar narrated to us, Hatim narrated to us, from Simak, from Mus'ab, who said: I asked my father, Sa'd, and said: "O my father, [regarding the verse] 'Those who are heedless of their prayer' (al-ma'un), is it that one of us becomes heedless in his prayer, [meaning] the whispering of his own soul?" Sa'd said: "Is it not that all of us do that? Rather, the one who is heedless of his prayer is the one who performs it outside of its time; that is the one who is heedless of it." Mus'ab said another time: "Abandoning the prayer at its appointed times."
