Daud ibn Rashid narrated to us, Ali ibn Hashim ibn al-Barid narrated to us, he said: I heard al-A'mash mentioning it from Abu Ishaq, from Mus'ab ibn Sa'd, from his father, who said: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "Every trait may be imprinted upon—or he said: may be habituated to—the believer," Ali ibn Hashim was in doubt, "except for treachery and lying."
