Zuhayr narrated to us, Waki’ narrated to us, from Sufyan, from Habib ibn Abi Thabit, from Ibrahim ibn Sa’d, from Sa’d ibn Malik, Usamah ibn Zayd, and Khuzaymah ibn Thabit, who said: The Messenger of Allah (may Allah bless him and grant him peace) said: "The plague is a punishment and a remnant of a torment with which a people before you were punished. So if it occurs in a land while you are in it, do not exit it fleeing from it. And if you hear of it in a land, do not enter upon it."
