Hadith 6:46

Zuhayr narrated to us, Marwan bin Mu'awiyah al-Fazari narrated to us, from Uthman bin Hakim, Amir bin Sa'd informed us, from his father, that he was with the Messenger of Allah (may Allah bless him and grant him peace). He passed by the mosque of Banu Mu'awiyah, entered it, and prayed two rak'ahs in it. Then he stood and supplicated to his Lord, and departed. He said: "I asked my Lord for three things; He granted me two and withheld one from me. I asked Him not to destroy my nation by drowning, nor by famine—meaning hunger—and He granted me those two. And I asked Him not to let their might be among themselves, but He withheld that from me."
