Musnad Abu Ya'la al-Mawsili 6:48

Musā ibn Ḥayyān narrated to us, Salm ibn Qutaybah narrated to us, Isrā’īl narrated to us, from Abū Isḥāq, from Muṣ‘ab ibn Sa‘d, from his father, who said: I said to the Prophet, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, "I swore by al-Lāt and al-‘Uzzā," and he mentioned the rest of the ḥadīth. The Prophet, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, said: "You have spoken nonsense. Say 'Lā ilāha illā Allāh' (There is no god but Allah) three times, spit to your left three times, seek refuge from the Shayṭān, and do not do it again."
