Abu Khaythama narrated to us, Sufyan ibn 'Uyayna narrated to us, from 'Amr, from Ibn Abi Mulayka, from 'Ubayd Allah ibn Abi Nuhayk, from Sa'd, from the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him), who said: "He is not of us who does not recite the Quran with a melodious voice." Sufyan said: "Meaning, he does not seek sufficiency through it."
