Musnad Abu Ya'la al-Mawsili 6:62

Abu Khaythama narrated to us, Qutayba ibn Sa'id narrated to us, al-Layth narrated to us, from 'Ayyash ibn 'Abbas, from Bukayr, from Busr ibn Sa'id, that Sa'd ibn Abi Waqqas said at the time of the tribulation (fitna) of 'Uthman: I bear witness that I heard the Messenger of Allah (may Allah bless him and grant him peace) say: "There will surely be a tribulation in which the one sitting is better than the one standing, and the one standing is better than the one walking, and the one walking is better than the one running." He (the narrator) said: "What do you see if he enters my house and stretches out his hand to kill me?" He said: "Be like the son of Adam."
