Musnad Abu Ya'la al-Mawsili 6:77

Abdullah ibn Muti’ narrated to us, Hushaym narrated to us, from Khalid al-Hadhdha’, from Abu Uthman al-Nahdi, who said: When Ziyad was claimed [as a son by Mu’awiyah], I met Abu Bakrah and said, "What is this that you [people] have done?" He said, "I heard Sa’d narrating, saying: 'My ears heard it and my heart retained it from the Prophet (ﷺ), who said: "Whoever claims [to be the son of] a father in Islam, while he knows that he is not his father, Allah has forbidden Paradise for him."'" Abu Bakrah then said, "And I also heard it from the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ)."
