Abu Sa'id al-Qawariri narrated to us, Bishr ibn al-Mufaddal narrated to us, from 'Abd al-Rahman ibn Ishaq, from Abu Hazim, from Sahl ibn Sa'd—Bishr said: "And I heard it from Abu Hazim"—who said: Men from the Muslims used to attend the prayer with the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, with their garments tied around their necks. None of them had anything except a single garment.
