Musnad Abu Ya'la al-Mawsili 148:106

Ammar Abu Yasir narrated to us, Ja'far ibn Sulayman al-Duba'i narrated to us, al-Ja'd Abu 'Uthman narrated to us, Anas ibn Malik narrated to us, he said: The Prophet, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, consummated his marriage with one of his wives. He said: So Umm Sulaym made *hays* (a dish of dates, ghee, and dried yogurt) for him, then she placed it in a bowl. Then she said to me: "Go with this to the Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, and convey peace to him from us, and inform him that this is a little from us for him." Anas said: And they were in severe hardship on that day. He said: So I brought it to the Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, and I said: "O Messenger of Allah, Umm Sulaym sent this to you, and she conveys peace to you, and she says: 'This is a little from us for you.'" He said: So he looked at it and said: "Place it." He said: So I placed it. Then the Prophet, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, said to me: "Go and call so-and-so and so-and-so," until he named many men, and whoever you meet. He said: So I came, and the house, the suffah (bench/porch), and the chamber were full of people.
