Musnad Abu Ya'la al-Mawsili 148:18

Muhammad ibn Ibrahim al-Sami in Abadan narrated to us, Uthman ibn al-Haytham, the muezzin of the Jami' Mosque in Basra, narrated to us—in my presence—from Mahbub ibn Hilal, from Ata ibn Abi Maymunah, from Anas ibn Malik, who said: Gabriel descended upon the Prophet, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, and said: "Mu'awiyah ibn Mu'awiyah al-Laythi has died. Would you like to pray over him?" He said: "Yes." He said: "He struck the earth with his wing, and there remained no tree or hillock but that it shook." Then his bier was raised, and he looked at it, so he pronounced the takbir over him, with two rows of angels behind him, in each row seventy thousand angels. The Prophet, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, said: "O Gabriel, by what did he attain this station with Allah?" He said: "By his love for 'Say, He is Allah, [who is] One' (Al-Ikhlas), and his reciting of it while going, coming, standing, sitting, and in every state."
