Musnad Abu Ya'la al-Mawsili 148:27

Abu al-Rabi' narrated to us, Hammad narrated to us, Salam al-'Alawi narrated to us, he said: I heard Anas bin Malik say: A platter containing gourd was brought near to the Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, and he used to like it. He said: I saw him inserting his finger, seeking the gourd. He said: A man entered upon him and he saw a trace of yellow (saffron) on him, and the Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, disliked it. He would not confront a man to his face with something he disliked. So when he stood up, he said to some of the people: "If only you would order this man to leave off this yellow."
